Self Portrait 2025
This piece is a personal exploration of how I see myself — not just in appearance, but in feeling. I wanted to capture more than a likeness; I aimed to reflect the mood, thoughts, and quiet moments that shape who I am.

Capturing my own likeness proved unexpectedly difficult — every small change altered the feeling of the piece, and I found myself constantly balancing between accuracy and expression.

The process was both challenging and grounding, inviting me to sit with myself, notice the details, and translate them into colour and form.
I created this work in Adobe Fresco, which brought its own challenges. I’ve spent years working in Procreate, so transitioning to Fresco meant discovering new tools and features, while also learning to adapt without the ones I was used to. It was a process of unlearning habits, experimenting, and finding fresh ways to bring my ideas to life.
